shop policies for Minden Woodworks

By placing an order with Minden Woodworks, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following terms and conditions.  These policies form a binding agreement between the customer and the business to the fullest extent permitted by law. 

Nothing in these terms is intended to limit or waive any rights that cannot be legally waived under applicable law. 

Handmade Nature of Products:

All items are individually handcrafted from natural wood.  Variations in grain, color, knots, texture, and finish are normal and expected characteristics of natural materials and are not considered defects.

No item will be an exact replica of photos, samples, or previous work due to the natural and handmade nature of production.

Custom Order & Deposits:

To begin your custom project, a 25% non-refundable deposit is required before design work. Once the design is approved, a 50% non-refundable deposit is required before production begins. This deposit secures your place in our schedule and covers the time and materials invested in creating your one-of-a-kind piece. 

Once the design has been approved and work has started, deposits cannot be refunded.  The remaining balance is due prior to pick up or shipping.

Because every custom sign is made specifically for you, personalized orders cannot be returned or exchanged unless they arrive damaged or there is an error on our part. 

**Please double-check all names, dates, spelling, dimensions, and personalization details before approving your proof, as production will begin based on your final approval. 

Minden Woodworks is not responsible for errors or incorrect information provided by the customer.

Order Approval & Changes:

Written or electronic approval constitutes final authorization to proceed with production. Once approved, changes may not be possible.  Any modifications requested after approval may require cancellation and reordering at the customer's expense. 

We reserve the right to refuse or cancel any order at our discretion.

Processing Times:

Processing times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.  Delays may occur due to material availability, workload, or circumstances beyond our control. 

Minden Woodworks is not liable for delays in production or fulfillment. 

Shipping & Risk of Loss:

All orders are shipped via third-party carriers.

Risk of loss transfers to the customer once the order is handed to the carrier. Minden Woodworks is not responsible for lost, stolen, delayed, or misdelivered packages. 

Customers are responsible for providing accurate shipping information. We are not liable for orders shipped to addresses entered incorrectly by the customer.

Damaged Orders:

Any damage claims must be reported within 3 days of delivery, including clear photos of the packaging and item.

We will assist in filing carrier claims when applicable; however, resolution is subject to carrier policies and procedures.

Any remedy, if provided, is at our discretion and may include repair, replacement, or refund. 

Returns & Refunds:

Due to the handmade and custom nature of our products, all sales are final except where required by applicable law.

We do not accept returns, exchanges, or refunds for the following:

- Buyer's remorse or change of mind

- Customer-provided errors (including spelling or measurements)

- Natural variations in the wood grain or finish

- Improper care or misuse

Wood Characteristics & Use:

Wood is natural material that will naturally expand, contract, and shift with environmental conditions.  These characteristics are normal and not considered defects. 

Products are intended for their designed use only.  Improper use or modification voids anu implied warranty to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Care Instructions:

Care instructions are provided as general guidance only.  Minden Woodworks is not responsible for damage resulting from improper care, cleaning, storage, or misuse. 

Limitation of Liability:

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Minded Woodworks' total liability for any claim arising from a product shall not exceed the amount paid for that product. 

In no event shall Minden Woodworks be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages, including loss of use, profits, or property damage. 

Governing Law:

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to conflict of law principles.  Any disputes shall be resolved in a court of competent jurisdiction in Nevada, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
